Oil, oil stick and graphite applied over graphite sketch on canvas mounted onto boarad.
Framed in wood bespoke frame.
'Spiked' explores the idea of the abstracted female nude. Whilst some features point to the feminine, the image is more clearly defined through colour. Circles and ovals are a constant motif reinforcing the idea of a maternal form. The use of an awkwardly spiked pink crown hints at the dual roles women perform both as individuals and mothers.
